Assam, situated in the Brahmaputra river valley, is the gateway to north-east India. The state is known for its national parks, wildlife and tea gardens. The Kaziranga National Park is the state’s most prominent wildlife sanctuary that is home to hundreds of species of mammals, including the Indian one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger. Not to forget the deep rooted culture and traditions that hold a very important place in the lifestyle of the people of the state.

Meghalaya, literally meaning ‘the Abode of Clouds’ justifies its name by being home to the wettest place on Earth. This north-eastern state of India is every nature lover’s paradise. Replete with canyons and valleys, and hundreds of caves scattered throughout its lands, few as long as thirty kilometres, some explored and many yet to be, the state is an adventurer’s and explorer’s ideal playing ground. GUWAHATI – SHILLONG 

  • On arrival at Guwahati airport, meet and greet with our representative.
  • Transfer to Shillong.
  • Upon reaching Shillong, check-in to your hotel and rest for a while.
  • Go for a walk at the Shillong Mall Road (Police Bazaar) in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI RIVER 

  • Have breakfast at the hotel.
  • Proceed to visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak.
  • Then, set out for an excursion to the Mawlynnong village, winner of the honourable tag 'cleanest village in Asia' at one time.
  • Enjoy boating on the Dawki river, famous for the multitude of 'suspended-in-air boat' images.
  • Next, walk to one of the many sacred Living Root Bridges of Meghalaya scattered across many places in the state.
  • Return to Shillong.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

CHERRAPUNJEE 

  • Have breakfast at the hotel.
  • Proceed for a day trip to Cherrapunjee and enjoy the scenic drive.
  • Visit the majestic Nohkalikai Falls.
  • Enjoy an adventurous caving experience at the popular Mawsmai cave.
  • Later, hike to another Living Root Bridge.
  • After an action-packed day of soft adventures, return to your hotel in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

  • Post breakfast, check-out of the hotel.
  • Proceed to the Kaziranga National Park.

  • Early in the morning, enjoy an elephant ride and explore the western zone of Kaziranga National Park. 
  • Return to the resort for breakfast. 
  • Enjoy a Jeep Safari in the afternoon.
  • Enjoy a cultural programme at Orchid Park in the evening. 
  • Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK - GUWAHATI

  • Post breakfast, go for a Jeep Safari to the central zone of Kaziranga National Park.
  • Thereafter, come back to the hotel, check-out and then proceed to Guwahati.
  • Visit the Basistha Ashram, Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra, ‘Jargan’ store for authentic Assamese Silks and handicrafts in the afternoon (if time permits).
  • Reach Guwahati and check-in to your hotel.
  • Evening at leisure.

  • Proceed for a visit to Nilachal Hill and have a darshan at the Kamakhya Temple.
