Day 1
On the first day, visit the Colosseum. Try and get there early to avoid the queues. Less than a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum, head over to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum next. With senate houses, public squares and palaces, these areas are a historical treasure trove. The Imperial Forum, Forum of Augustus, Forum of Caesar, and more are all just a short walk away from the famous Roman Forum, so if you have time be sure to check them out too! After lunch, take a 10 minute walk from the Forum of Augustus to the Piazza del Campidoglio. It is a peaceful place to relax after lunch.
