Victoria Peak

A very famous tourist attraction in Hong Kong is Victoria Peak. Hong Kong’s impressive landscape and skyline look the best from this spot. The peak stands tall at an astounding 552 meters.

The Peak provides a stunning panorama depicting the city’s ultimate beauty, with a view of the skyscrapers, the blue waters and the green hills! You can access the top by 125-year-old Peak Tram.

Big Buddha

The Big Buddha, also known as Tian Tan Buddha, is situated in the Po Lin Monastery in Lantau Island. This Big Buddha is one of the biggest Buddha statues in the world and was built in a span of 12 years.

The statue stands tall at 34 meters. The statue is a treat for the eyes, especially when set against the vermillion painted skies and the surrounding greenery. You can access the statue via a cable car.

Hong Kong Disneyland

This popular theme park, located on Lantau island, is loved dearly by all ages and is a popular family tourist spot. Hong Kong’s Disneyland has around 36 attractions such as Jungle Cruise and spinning tea.

The park has seven lands, they are Adventureland, Mystic Point, Grizzly Gulch, Toy Story Land, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Main Street, U.S.A. Hong Kong Disneyland can be reached through the MTR Disneyland Line.

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery is a peaceful spot that lets you escape the busy city life. This monastery is located in Sha Tin, and can be reached on foot by climbing 400 steps up the hilltop.

You will come across numerous golden statues of Buddhas all with a quirky expression and each statue depicting a unique characteristic.

The climb ends with the main temple in the middle. The square area is again filled with a number of Buddha statues and in the middle lies a huge Pagoda.

Hong Kong Park

This is one of the most peaceful places in the city. The park spans over 8 hectares and has around 80 species of birds. You can spend hours birdwatching. Locals come here for their daily walks or to practice some tai chi. There are two lakes in the park with a conservatory and aviary in the middle. The park also consists of Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, the Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware and a café to relax in during your relaxing stroll.

Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden

Chi Lin Nunnery is a Buddhist temple built in 1934. Here you will find an ancient structure depicting the traditional Tang Dynasty style of architecture. The structure in the Nunnery is made of wood and the place is adorned with bonsai trees, garden and ponds with water lilies and lotuses. Admission to this spot is free, but photography is prohibited. Opposite to the Chi Lin Nunnery is the Nan Lian Garden, which is a lovely landscaped garden. There is also a restaurant on the site and a teahouse, which will give you a relaxing experience surrounding nature.

Star Ferry

Star Ferry is an iconic symbol of the city. This incredible ferry operates every few minutes and is crossing the harbours since the 1880s. The view from the ferry is scenic with skylines. The ferry goes to and fro from Kowloon and Hong Kong island. The Star Ferry stops at the Victoria Harbour.

Symphony of Lights

This magical event is a synchronised musical show of lights that spreads over 44 buildings on Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. The show includes fountains, laser lights, surround sound, aqua screen, LED lights, fibre optics, searchlights and many more things.

Man Mo Temple

This temple is one of the earliest temples, and now a monument. The temple was built years ago in 1847, and is a notable tourist attraction. As you enter the temple, you will be welcomed by the aromatic atmosphere from the burning incense sticks. The temple was named after two Gods, Man Cheong (the God of Literature) and Mo Tai (the God of War).

Ocean Park

This popular park is loved for its Giant Panda Adventure and has fun roller coaster rides. One can see exotic species, both exotic and otherwise the Grand aquarium. Two popular rides in the park are Whirly Bird and Hair Raiser. A visit to Ocean Park is a great way to spend time with family as well as have an adventurous and educational experience. You can reach the park through MTR South Island Line and stop at the Ocean Park Station.

Sky100

This is an observation deck situated at a breathtaking 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre. It provides a spot to have a relaxing evening with great food and wine.     Day 1

    Our guide will await your arrival at the airport, after which you will be taken to your resort for complimentary breakfast and to freshen up. You will be taken to the ancient Man Mo temple after.     The one-day entry ticket to Disneyland Hong Kong varies for adults and children. An adult entry ticket costs HK$639, and a child ticket (child aged between 3 to 11) costs HK$475. Extra charges will apply for travelling towards the location, which can happen, via a ferry ride.

    Is English widely spoken in Hong Kong?

      Visited Thailand (Bangkok & Phuket) with my family in January 2024 through this tour operating company.
